The report highlighted that anti-drone measures at older Victorian prisons, including HMP Pentonville in London, are being delayed because deteriorating prison walls cannot support heavy protective netting and security grilles. UK prison inspectors warned that drone incidents have risen more than 1,000% in four years, creating what officials described as a growing national security threat.
