Unauthorised drones disrupted more than 50 flights at Vietnam’s Danang international airport during the busy Lunar New Year holiday.

During the busy Lunar New Year holiday, unauthorized drone activity disrupted more than 50 flights at Danang International Airport in Vietnam. Two separate incidents involving drones flying dangerously close to aircraft forced a total of 54 flights into delays or holding patterns before they could safely land. While it remains unclear who was operating the devices, the incursions caused significant disruptions at the central region's primary aviation hub, which handles upwards of 300 flights per day during peak holiday travel despite Vietnam's strict ban on private drone use around airports.
