UK - Drone Restrictions During Tour of Britain Race

Drone operators have been warned not to fly during the Tour of Britain cycle race as stage three passes through East Yorkshire. A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) covers the county up to 2,700 ft (823 m) between 08:45 and 15:45 BST on race day.

Humberside Police said anyone who wishes to fly a drone in the area must obtain permission from its drone team. The force is discouraging recreational flying to protect the public and other aircraft operating in the same airspace, including police drones and media filming from the air.

The 565-mile (910 km) race began in Lincoln and continues through Yorkshire before finishing in Scotland. Rolling road closures of about 30 to 40 minutes accompany each stage as the peloton passes through towns and villages along the route.
